JUNEAU, Alaska (AP) - Juneau police are investigating after about $170,000 in cash, gold, jewelry and other goods was reported stolen on Douglas Island.

KTOO-FM reports (https://bit.ly/2djz49u ) that police say in a news release officers responded Sunday to a report that a building off North Douglas Highway had been burglarized. The robbery affected a business and a private residence in the same building.

Police say someone likely broke in through a second-story window sometime between Saturday night and Sunday morning.



The suspect or suspects also took off with two rifles and a safe.
