OPELIKA, Ala. (AP) - Opelika authorities are investigating the fatal shooting of a 23-year-old man.

AL.com (https://bit.ly/2diux7p ) reports that Opelika Police found the body of Jaquavious Montrell at a home on Edmon Avenue after answering a 911 call Tuesday around 12:19 p.m.

Lee County Coroner Bill Harris pronounced Montrell dead at 1:34 p.m.



An autopsy will be conducted at the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences Medical Examiner’s Office.

Police have not released any other details about the case.
