LEXINGTON, S.C. (AP) - Lexington County sheriff’s deputies have captured a suspect who escaped from a hospital while h3e was being checked for injuries.
Deputies told local media that 37-year-old Corey Jorell Eaglin ran away from the Lexington Medical Center on Monday. About a dozen deputies took part in the search and Eaglin was recaptured several hours later.
Eaglin had been arrested following a domestic violence complaint. The sheriff’s department said Eaglin also had three outstanding warrants on drug charges.
Deputies say he now faces additional charges.
It was not clear if he has an attorney.
