FELTON, Del. (AP) - Delaware police have arrested a 51-year-old woman and charged her with murder in the death of her three-year-old grandson.
State police say paramedics responded to a home on Skinner Lane after Angela Bingham called 911 to report that she wanted to harm herself and that she’d killed her grandson.
Bingham left the home but was picked up close by. Police say paramedics and state troopers entered the home and found the child’s body decomposing in a bedroom.
Bingham was transported to a local hospital then booked into custody. She has been charged with first-degree murder.
Police say an autopsy will be performed on the child to determine the cause of death.
