PETALUMA, Calif. (AP) - Authorities say at least four homes are on fire in Petaluma near Highway 101. The highway’s northbound lanes were briefly shut down.

The California Highway Patrol says fire crews from numerous agencies are working on the blazes on Stuart Drive.

The Santa Rosa Press Democrat reports Stuart Drive backs into Highway 101.

The CHP says the fire may have started in grass along the highway, spread to trees and then jumped to four homes.
