BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (AP) - Bridgeport police are investigating a late-night shooting at a city restaurant.

A department spokesman says officers responded to El Paraiso Restaurant at about 10 p.m. Sunday where they found a 36-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the chest. It was not immediately clear if the victim was shot inside or outside the restaurant.

The victim was taken to St. Vincent’s Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.



His name was not immediately made public.

There was no word on any arrests or suspects.

The killing was the city’s eighth homicide of the year.
