SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. (AP) - San Bernardino police are searching for a suspect in the fatal shooting of a man at a mall parking lot where a local car club had gathered.
The Riverside Press-Enterprise newspaper (https://bit.ly/2cWPDKu) says several gunshots were heard late Sunday as people met for what a witness described as a regular “cruise night.”
Sgt. Michelle Mahan says responding officers found the victim on the ground around 10 p.m. She says he was taken away in an ambulance and died about an hour later.
The newspaper says cars streamed out of the parking lot at Carousel Mall after the shooting.
Investigators have not identified a suspect or a motive.
