CULPEPER, Va. (AP) - A North Carolina man has been accused of stabbing two people at a field party in Culpeper County.

County sheriff’s Detective Justin Brown tells The Free Lance-Star (https://bit.ly/2cyfla8) that 20-year-old Gustive Hansley of Hamsted, North Carolina, was arrested Sunday on charges of aggravated malicious wounding, public intoxication and underage possession of alcohol.

Brown says the party was ending around 1:30 a.m., when a driver pulled up and was asked to leave by two men attending the event.

He says the driver exited the vehicle, began fighting, and at some point, pulled out a knife, cutting both men.

The driver then fled in his vehicle, which was later stopped by a deputy.

Both victims were taken to the hospital. Their conditions weren’t immediately available.
