PLYMOUTH TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) - Two suburban Detroit teenagers have been killed after the stolen car they were in crashed following a police chase.
A Livonia officer tried to pull over the Ford Mustang the two boys were in Saturday night after 911 calls about reckless driving in a school parking lot.
The driver sped up and drove into neighboring Plymouth Township, west of Detroit, where the Mustang clipped a minivan and crashed into a wooded area before catching fire.
Two people in the minivan suffered minor injuries.
The Detroit Free Press and WXYZ-TV report that the boys were students at Churchill High School in Livonia. Their names were not released Sunday.
