HENDERSON, Nev. (AP) - Police have identified a man arrested for fatally stabbing a woman in a Henderson home.

Michael Kaplan was booked Saturday on one count of open murder.

The 48-year-old is currently being held at the Henderson Detention Center.

Authorities say they received a 911 call earlier in the day reporting that someone at the home needed emergency medical attention.

Responding officers found a 30-year-old woman dead and with a possible stab wound.

Kaplan was taken into custody at the scene.

Three children ages 7, 3 and 3 months, were in the home. They are now in the care of Child Protective Services.

The Clark County Coroner’s Office will determine the woman’s identity and official cause of death.
