The Washington Redskins’ secondary has struggled at times this season, and within the first half of their game against the New York Giants, they lost two key contributors.

Cornerback Bashaud Breeland was carted off with an ankle injury. He appeared to awkwardly plant his foot and went down immediately. He will not return to the game.

Shortly afterward, safety DeAngelo Hall had to be helped off the field with a sprained left knee.

But the Redskins’ secondary wasn’t the only unit that dealt with injuries.

Wide receiver DeSean Jackson, who already had four receptions and scored the Redskins’ lone touchdown, went down with a leg injury and also had to be helped off the field. While Jackson was limping heavily, the speedy wide receiver was able to return to the game.

Left guard Shawn Lauvao also exited the game with an ankle injury. The Redskins moved Trent Williams to replace Lauvao as the left guard and inserted Ty Nsekhe to left tackle.
