CAVENDISH, Vt. (AP) - There’s going to be a town energy fair in Cavendish.

The Oct. 1 event in the southern Vermont community will be held at the Cavendish Town Elementary School.

The fair is being hosted by the Cavendish Town Energy Committee, where residents can learn about “weatherization, solar energy, energy efficient homes, heat pumps, composting and other money saving ways to help the planet.”

Vermont Public Radio (https://bit.ly/2cUcrMd) reports that fair organizers say experts will be on hand for everything from the latest energy-saving technologies to simple home weatherization techniques.

The event will run from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
