CHICAGO (AP) - Relatives of a man whose dismembered remains were discovered in a Chicago garage are suing the estate of his wife, whom they suspect killed him before killing herself.
Fifty-one-year-old Milan Lekich was found Oct. 5 wrapped in plastic and a blanket inside his garage in the Hegewisch neighborhood on Chicago’s South Side. An autopsy found Lekich died of multiple gunshot wounds to the head.
His wife, 49-year-old Teresa Jarding of Fowler, Indiana, died Sept. 25 of a drug overdose after police performing a well-being check found her near-death in a recliner with a handgun on the armrest.
The Chicago Sun-Times reports (https://bit.ly/2cv16Ty ) that Lekich’s mother and two sisters are seeking more than $100,000 from the Jarding’s estate in a wrongful death lawsuit filed Friday in Cook County Circuit Court.
