MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - Police say a man and a baby are dead after what authorities are calling a “targeted” shooting in south Minneapolis.

Officers were called to shots fired around 1:30 p.m. Sunday and discovered a wounded man and a baby in the back of a car parked near Stewart Park.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene. A police spokeswoman says the baby soon died at nearby Children’s hospital.

Police say the shooting appears to be “targeted.” No arrests are reported.

The man’s sister tells the Star Tribune (https://strib.mn/2doWM4C ) he was not the baby’s father.
