PRESCOTT, Ariz. (AP) - Yavapai County sheriff’s officials are investigating after a woman was found dead in a home.
Sheriff’s spokesman Dwight D’Evelyn says deputies responded around 5 a.m. Saturday to a residence.
They found the 42-year-old victim with a gunshot wound.
She was transported to a hospital but died.
D’Evelyn says a man who lives in the home is being questioned but no arrests have been made.
The weapon was recovered.
D’Evelyn says the investigation remains ongoing.
