SARATOGA SPRINGS, Utah (AP) - A construction worker has died after a trench collapsed in Saratoga Springs.

Authorities say the 20-year-old man and another crew member were digging a trench for a new home’s foundation Friday afternoon.

The other worker lost sight of the victim for about 10 minutes.



He then came upon him while digging in another area.

The crew member attempted CPR and called 911.

He was pronounced dead.

KSL-TV in Salt Lake City reports (https://bit.ly/2d2lyGB) that Saratoga Springs officials have identified the man as Yongwhan Kim of Lehi.

Police as well as the Occupational Safety and Health Administration are investigating.

Kim is the second worker in a week to die in a trench collapse in Utah County.

A Provo man died Sept. 30 after a trench partially collapsed.
