LAS VEGAS (AP) - A Las Vegas jury has found three men guilty of murder and other charges in a 2014 home invasion that left a man dead.

The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports (https://bit.ly/2db7MoJ) that 34-year-old Jorge Mendoza was convicted Friday of first-degree murder with use of a deadly weapon and six other counts.

Jurors also convicted 38-year-old David Murphy and 39-year-old Joey Laguna of second-degree murder and six other charges.

Authorities say 48-year-old Monty Gibson was killed in the September 2014 attack.

The suspects carried out a gunfight with the victim’s roommate, who investigators believe was the real target.

Two other defendants, 33-year-old Summer Rice and 30-year-old Robert Figueroa, testified at trial and have pleaded guilty in the case.

All three men are scheduled to be sentenced in November.
