BILLINGS, Mont. (AP) - Roads in Phillips County were closed Friday because of flooding on the Milk River in Montana, and flooding has been reported along Beaver Creek.

National Weather Service meteorologist Tanja Fransen says some areas of Phillips County got up to 10 inches of rain over the past few days.

In Tampico, water was rising over the bank of the river Friday night. So far, areas of Malta and Saco have been the hardest hit.

The Billings Gazette reports (https://tinyurl.com/h7pjufa ) authorities will have to wait until the water recedes before the damage can be determined.
