FREMONT, Calif. (AP) - Police say A 77-year-old San Francisco Bay Area woman was arrested after she punched an officer at a red-tagged home where more than 50 feral cats were found earlier this week.
The East Bay Times reports (https://bit.ly/2e9jG3Z ) Friday that animal services officers were dealing with the cats at the Hayward home on Tuesday when the woman trespassed and police were called.
Police say when officers made contact, the woman was uncooperative and punched an officer. The officer’s condition was not known Friday.
The woman, whose name was not released, was arrested on suspicion of trespassing, battery on a police officer and resisting arrest, the newspaper reported.
