DOVER, Del. (AP) - Dover Police have arrested a man after a pedestrian was shot at during a robbery.

The department said in a news release that a man was walking on Reed Street early Thursday when he was confronted by the gunman.

Officers say the suspect demanded the man’s money. Police say the man dropped his money and tried to walk away when the gunman fired a shot at him. Investigators say the gunshot hit a bag the victim was carrying, but he was not hurt.

Detectives identified a suspect and arrested 18-year-old Javon Jones Thursday night. He is charged with robbery and other offenses.
