FARGO, N.D. (AP) - A man accused of distributing a heroin substance in the Fargo area that led to two overdoses has been sentenced to 18 years in prison.

Gregory Krutsinger, of Moorhead, Minnesota, is charged in federal court with conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute a controlled substance resulting in serious bodily injury.

An affidavit says Krutsinger is responsible for distributing drugs that are “harming people and even causing death.”



U.S. District Judge Ralph Erickson also ordered Krutsinger to serve six months of supervised release.

Law enforcement officials and other community members have been conducting public forums in the last several months warning North Dakota residents about the increase in opioid overdoses and deaths.
