LONGVIEW, Wash. (AP) - A Washington state high school baseball coach is being held without bail in Texas on allegations that he violated his federal parole.
The Daily News reports (https://goo.gl/6WhDGP ) that U.S. Marshals arrested Mike Wing in Oregon in September on a federal warrant from East Texas, where he pleaded guilty to federal wire fraud in 2006.
Wing was transported to Texas and booked Wednesday for the violation. The specifics of the violation weren’t immediately available.
Wing was sentenced 10 years in prison in the wire fraud case and has been on probation since his 2014 release. The 57-year-old is also obligated to make $200 monthly payments on $9.3 million in restitution to fraud victims.
Rainier School Superintendent Michael Carter says Wing will remain baseball coach until the case against him concludes.
