PHOENIX (AP) - Four suspects are in custody in connection with a fatal shooting in north Phoenix last month.

Phoenix police say 36-year-old Carlos Punnett, 31-year-old Jamal White, 38-year-old Quincey Edmond and 36-year-old Carl Johnson were arrested Wednesday and have been booked into jail on suspicion of first-degree murder.

It was unclear Thursday if any of the men have lawyers yet.

Police say 25-year-old Mario Cholak was shot on the night of Sept. 1 and died hours later at a hospital.

Cholak was found with a gunshot wound to the stomach following a call about an armed robbery at a hookah lounge, which was closed at the time.

Police say a second victim was forced to the ground and had guns and drugs stolen from him before the suspects fled the scene.
