Police investigating homicide in Moberly

MOBERLY, Mo. (AP) - Authorities are investigating after a man’s body was found inside a central Missouri home where there was a small fire.

The Columbia Daily Tribune (https://bit.ly/2dVxuMu ) reports that officers were responding to a report of shots fired when the discovery was made Thursday morning in Moberly.

The city said in a news release that it appeared the victim had been shot. The man’s name wasn’t immediately released.

Police are interviewing witnesses and other people who might have information about the death.
