KINGMAN, Ariz. (AP) - An Arizona police officer who was wounded during a fatal firefight with a suspect last week has been released from the hospital.
Kingman police say 57-year-old Dennis Gilbert was released from the hospital Wednesday after the fatal shootout during a stolen-gun investigation on Sept. 29.
Police say 53-year-old Jeffrey Clair Cave of Kingman fired a weapon toward officers and shots were exchanged. Cave was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Bullhead City Police Department is investigating the officer-involved shooting incident.
