ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) - Anchorage police are investigating two early morning shootings, including one that may have involved a robbery.

Police just before 4:30 a.m. Wednesday took calls of shots fired near the Old Seward Highway at 74th Avenue.

Police found a woman suffering from minor injuries. She was checked out by medics and released.



Witnesses say she was with another woman and that she had been assaulted and possibly robbed by a man.

Police found spent shell casings at the scene. Officers used a police dog to search for the man.

Earlier Wednesday morning, police just before 2 a.m. heard shots and received calls of shots fired at east 48th Avenue. The found shell casings at the intersection with Fairbanks Street.
