HOOPER, Utah (AP) - Reports of an armed man led to a brief lockdown at a Weber County elementary school.

Weber County sheriff’s officials say Hooper Elementary School went into a “lockout” on Monday after the armed man, who turned out to be a duck hunter, was spotted near the campus. The lockout was lifted after about an hour.

Sheriff’s officials say duck hunters are common this time of year.
