WAYNESVILLE, N.C. (AP) - Haywood County sheriff’s deputies have arrested a man in the shooting death of his father.
Sheriff’s deputies told local media outlets that officers were called to a home in Bethel around 6:15 a.m. Sunday.
They found 60-year-old Michael Bruce Browning dead from a gunshot wound.
His son, 35-year-old Michael Clint Browning of Bethel, has been charged with murder.
Deputies have not said what prompted the shooting.
