PORTLAND, Maine (AP) - The Maine Governor’s Energy Office says heating prices have risen in the state as the temperature has started to drop.

The office says the average price for heating oil rose 5 cents over the past week to $1.93 per gallon. Kerosene prices have also risen 5 cents to $2.45 and propane prices have increased one cent to $2.19 per gallon.

Northern Maine had a higher average at $2.08 per gallon for heating oil. The highest heating oil price of $2.15 per gallon was also found in northern Maine.



The prices reflect an Oct. 3 survey.
