FALMOUTH, Maine (AP) - Police in a Maine town say they have charged a man in connection with incidents in which he approached walkers and exposed himself on public trails.

WMTW-TV reports the arrest took place on Monday. The man’s name wasn’t released.

Police said earlier this month that they were looking for a man who exposed himself at least twice near female hikers at the Blackstrap Hill Preserve.

Police had encouraged residents to be vigilant in public spaces after the incidents occurred.
