TROY, Ala. (AP) - Three longtime educators are being inducted into the Alabama Educational Leadership Hall of Fame.
This year’s honorees include George B. Beasley of Fort Payne; Sarah Fanning of Huntsville; and Kathy S. Campbell of Tuskegee.
The honor is a joint effort between groups and Troy University, where the hall is located in the education of school. A ceremony is planned for Nov. 18.
Beasley’s 52-year career in education included job ranging from math teacher to coach and high school principal. He was also an officer in state educational organizations.
Fanning is an assistant principal at Buckhorn High School. She been involved in teacher training and credentialing programs.
Campbell is a past president of the Alabama Association of School Boards and the Alabama Parent-Teacher Association.
