COLUMBIA, Ky. (AP) - Kentucky State Police say two teens have died and another is hospitalized following a two-vehicle accident in Adair County.
State Police said in a news release that an off-road vehicle driven by 15-year-old Macie Drake of Columbia failed to stop at an intersection and collided with a pickup truck traveling on state Route 206. Drake and a passenger, 15-year-old Abby Gail Curry of Columbia, were pronounced dead at the scene of Friday’s accident.
The statement says another passenger on the four-wheeler, 14-year-old Raquel Anyesa of Columbia, was in critical condition Saturday at the University of Kentucky Medical Center. A hospital operator said Sunday that no information on Anyesa was available.
The pickup’s driver, 52-year-old Randell Gabehart of Knifley, was treated and released from a hospital.
