RENO, Nev. (AP) - Reno could see some smoke this week due to a prescribed burn in the Whittell Forest and Wildlife Management Area.

KOLO-TV reports (https://bit.ly/2dlh6cf ) that the burn is expected to begin Monday in the area between Washoe Lake and Lake Tahoe and is expected to continue for four of five days.

The Nevada Division of Forestry is planning three prescribed broadcast burns in the area this fall. Officials say weather and fuel conditions are entering optimal ranges where safe burning can be conducted
