STODDARD, N.H. (AP) - A former Stoddard, New Hampshire, firefighter has been sentenced to two-and-a-half years in prison after pleading guilty to setting two brush fires.
Thirty-one-year-old David Plante was working as a volunteer firefighter when he set two fires that burned more than 190 acres, forced the evacuation of 17 homes and caused $500,000 worth of damage to utility equipment in April.
