LAS VEGAS (AP) - Authorities are identifying a 30-year-old woman who was arrested in a near-fatal stabbing of a man in his 70s during the weekend in downtown Las Vegas.
Records show that Lakisha Hooks is being held Monday at the Clark County jail pending a court appearance on attempted murder and attacking a jailer charges.
A judge will be expected to appoint a lawyer to Hooks’ case at that time.
Police say the man who was stabbed was hospitalized was in grave condition with a severe head injury after the attack about 7 a.m. Sunday near Main Street and Foremaster Lane.
His identity wasn’t immediately made public.
Police say he was injured following an argument with Hooks, but didn’t disclose a reason for the dispute.
