DOTHAN, Ala. (AP) - A fire that damaged a former Dothan funeral home is now being investigated as an arson.
The Dothan Eagle (https://bit.ly/2eTYcYK ) reports the fire occurred about 8:30 p.m. Sunday.
Dothan Fire Department Batallion Chief Chris Etheridge says there was significant damage, but the structure was not a total loss.
He says a preliminary investigation has determined that the fire was considered suspicious.
The fire was at the former Varner Funeral Home, which closed about a year ago.
