TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) - Police say a Tuscaloosa teen is behind bars in the shooting death of another man at a gathering to honor someone killed in a traffic crash.

Lt. Kip Hart tells al.com (https://bit.ly/2eiaOW8) 19-year-old Kieric Mitchell has been charged with murder in the death of 30-year-old Quinton Doughty.

The shooting happened Wednesday night during a gathering to honor Andrew Webb, who was killed in a traffic accident earlier in the day

Hart said officers were dispatched to the scene on a noise complaint. When they arrived, more than 100 people were at the party and gunfire erupted.

Hart says Doughty had been shot multiple times.

Hart said Doughty got into several fights with Mitchell’s family members and that’s when Kieric Mitchell shot him.

Online jail records do not list an attorney for Mitchell.
