STONINGTON, Conn. (AP) - A Connecticut man acquitted in the 2002 death of his wife has died after apparently falling from his roof.
The Westerly Sun in Rhode Island reports (https://bit.ly/2eAYFyu ) that a death certificate for Charlie Buck was filed Thursday in New London City Hall.
The certificate states the 69-year-old Buck died Oct. 12 following “complications of blunt impact injury of neck.” Buck died at a New London hospital, the newspapers reports. It’s unclear when the accident occurred.
Buck was found not guilty of murder in his 2010 trial.
His 57-year-old wife Leslie Buck was found dead in 2002 at the bottom of their home’s staircase.
Two days earlier, she had been abducted by a man who did odd jobs for her husband. She escaped and the man was convicted of kidnapping and assault.
