MANHATTAN, Kan. (AP) - A chemical spill at Kansas State University’s Biosecurity’s Research Institute has been reported.
The Manhattan Mercury (https://bit.ly/2eKzJCp ) reports that fire crews responded to the spill of potassium hydroxide, which is often used in industrial processes, around 5:30 p.m. Tuesday. The spill was contained in the room and there were no injuries.
The school said it expected to have the spill cleaned sometime Wednesday.
