GREENE, Maine (AP) - Sheriff’s deputies say a driver has died after leaving the road and crashing into several trees in Greene, Maine.

They say 41-year-old Craig Ward, of Winthrop, died at the scene. The crash was reported at about 4:25 a.m. Thursday.

Deputies say Ward crossed the center line of Route 202 and went off the west side of the road. He was the only person in the vehicle.

Speed and alcohol do not appear to be factors in the crash.
