WASHINGTON (AP) - Police are warning of street closures for the annual 17th Street High Heel Race in the District of Columbia.

Police said in a statement that street closures will take place Tuesday from 6:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. Police say portions of the following streets in northwest Washington will be affected: 17th Street NW, Riggs Place, R Street, Corcoran Street, Q Street and Church Street.

Police say the race will start at 9 p.m.
