LOS ANGELES (AP) - Police are searching for a man they say shot and killed two people in Southern California.
The L.A. Times reports (https://lat.ms/2ejY5no ) that the Los Angeles Police Department says neighbors reported hearing multiple gunshots around 11 a.m. Monday in the Los Angeles neighborhood of Winnetka. A man and a woman in the home were pronounced dead.
Witnesses told police they later saw a man running north from the home.
Police Capt. Paul Vernon says the woman lived in the home and the man was a recent acquaintance. He says both were in their 20s.
Vernon said in a statement that preliminary information indicates that the shooter knew one or both of the victims.
