AMES, Iowa (AP) - Authorities have released the name of a man who was fatally shot in Ames.
Police identified the man as 36-year-old Harland “Jesse” Cummings, who lived in Ames. Officers who were sent to a trailer home about 6 a.m. Friday found Cummings, who’d been shot in the head.
Witnesses told police the shooting by another person was an accident. Cummings’ death is still being investigated.
