LA PLATA, Md. (AP) - Maryland State Police say a woman was struck and killed while walking in a road in La Plata.
The agency said in a news release that the crash occurred Sunday night on U.S. Route 301. Troopers say 66-year-old Donald Taylor of Waldorf was driving a Ford Expedition north. Police say he hit 46-year-old Jeanmarie Howard Davis of La Plata, who was walking in the road.
Davis was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash is under investigation.
