WETUMPKA, Ala. (AP) - Authorities say alcohol may have been a factor in the deadly crash in Elmore County.

The accident happened Sunday morning on Redland Road east of Wetumpka.

Cpl. Jess Thornton tell al.com (https://bit.ly/2extsyt) a car driven by Ryan Patrick Masters, of Tallassee, left the roadway, hit a ditch and overturned.



Thornton says Masters was pronounced dead at the scene and he was not wearing a seat belt.

A passenger in the car was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
