DETROIT (AP) - Authorities say three Detroit firefighters have been injured while fighting a fire at a vacant home on the city’s east side.
Fire Chief Dale Bradley tells the Detroit Free Press that two firefighters were reported to have back injuries and another had second- to third-degree burns.
The fire was reported around 8:15 a.m. Monday. The newspaper says at least one of the firefighters was transported to a hospital. WJBK-TV reports the firefighters’ injuries aren’t considered to be life-threatening. The cause of the fire was under investigation.
