TUSCUMBIA, Mo. (AP) - Authorities say a single-engine plane crashed near a central Missouri airport, killing both people on board.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol said in a release that the single-engine Beechcraft crashed Saturday afternoon in a wooded area near the Lee C. Fine Airport in Miller County.

The patrol says both occupants of the plane were declared dead at the scene of the crash. The patrol identified the victims as 56-year-old Bruce Hensler and 30-year-old Sarah M. Hensler. The patrol says they were both from New Britain, Pennsylvania.

It’s unclear where the aircraft had taken off from or where it was headed. The patrol says the Federal Aviation Administration is expected to investigate.
