OLYMPIA, Wash. (AP) - The Thurston County Sheriff’s Office is trying to identify a man whose body was found near the entrance to Margarette McKenney Campground south of Olympia.

Detective Jamie Gallagher says a woman walking her dog discovered the remains on Thursday afternoon.

Gallagher says the man had multiple gunshot wounds. He’s believed to be between 17 and 25 years old. He was wearing a black and white hooded sweatshirt, a shirt with the logo “We Shall Overcomb” and brown pants.

An autopsy revealed that the man had an unnamed condition that likely placed him from the Ohio Valley at some point in his life.

Gallagher says officials don’t know who placed the body near the campground.
