DUXBURY, Vt. (AP) - A Vermont high school is preparing a life celebration for five students who were hit and killed in a crash by a wrong-way driver.
Student and faculty speakers, music and a slideshow will be featured Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Harwood Union High School, in Duxbury.
A special community fund also has been set up for the families of 16-year-olds Mary Harris and Cyrus Zschau, both of Moretown; 16-year-old Liam Hale and 15-year-old Janie Cozzi, both of Fayston; and 16-year-old Eli Brookens, of Waterbury.
Four of the students were Harwood Union High School juniors. The fifth attended Kimball Union Academy, in Meriden, New Hampshire.
Steven Bourgoin has pleaded not guilty to five counts of second-degree murder in the Oct. 8 crash.
