Man shot to death in Durham, officers search for suspect

DURHAM, N.C. (AP) - Sheriff’s deputies in Durham County are investigating a shooting death of a man who was apparently walking home from work.

Sheriff’s spokeswoman Tamara Gibbs said in a news release that the shooting was reported around 7 p.m. Thursday.

Gibbs said the victim was 33-ya-rold Eric Ray of Durham.

She said no arrests have been made. Deputies are looking for a person of interest and a burgundy Nissan Altima or Sentra. Deputies have not determined a motive for the shooting.
